We know it’s not football but we’d like to point you in the direction of another pastime a lot of us enjoy and that’s poker.

 Combine the two and you have a recipe for a lot of pleasure sat in front of a screen and probably a lot more ear-ache from your other half as well! With online poker being played more and more each day, it’s worth having a quick look at a new site that will let you indulge in the best of both worlds.

It’s primarily a social networking site, the likes of Facebook or mySpace, but for poker players and there are some good football discussions going on in there too.

The site is Poker Nations and it’s rapidly gaining ground on most other social networking sites as it mixes the social side of things with free giveaways and raft of other great interactive options.

Dunne Moves From Eastland to Villa for Reported £6m

With the transfer deadline becoming a headache for Man City, who made multiple transfers before the deadline the club transferred one of their highly noted players. 

Man City lost skipper Richard Dunne, who signed a reported £6mil deal that ended his nine year stint at Man City moving on to Aston Villa. 

Villa who has been completing key transfers, such as the Welsh international James Collins who signed a £5mil just before the transfer window was closed.

Macedonia Slam Scotland Before their Qualifying Game

With the qualifier coming up in three days after the transfer deadline Scotland faces a must win match against Macedonia on Saturday September 5th at Hamden.  

The two teams who are not strangers to one another, the two teams clashed on the field last year.  Macedonia defeated Scotland 1-0 at Skopje during the opening of the World Cup 2010 South Africa qualifier last year.
