With the transfer deadline becoming a headache for Man City, who made multiple transfers before the deadline the club transferred one of their highly noted players. Man City lost skipper Richard Dunne, who signed a reported £6mil deal that ended his nine year stint at Man City moving on to Aston Villa. Villa who has been completing key transfers, such as the Welsh international James Collins who signed a £5mil just before the transfer window was closed.

With the qualifier coming up in three days after the transfer deadline Scotland faces a must win match against Macedonia on Saturday September 5th at Hamden. The two teams who are not strangers to one another, the two teams clashed on the field last year. Macedonia defeated Scotland 1-0 at Skopje during the opening of the World Cup 2010 South Africa qualifier last year. |
